Ting-pang has a background in organizational and human resource management, cross-cultural management, work and family, industrial and organizational psychology, and sociology. He has had over 13 years of teaching and research experience in university in Taiwan, and before that, he had three years of counseling experience in a youth counseling center in Taiwan.

Ting-pang Huang now is an associate Professor in Department of Business Administration, Soochow University, Taipei, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Illinois Institute of Technology in USA, 1994. Before that, he also earned a Master degree in Sociology from Tunghai University in Taiwan, 1982. Now, he teaches courses in Organizational behavior, Human resource management, and Research methods in Soochow University. His current research interests include performance management, cross-national management, work and family, knowledge management. His research papers appear in Pan-pacific management review, Asian pacific management review, Journal of human resource management, Soochow journal of economics and business in Taiwan.

As for Ting-pangs's cross-national research experiences, he participated in an international research project on quality of working life and labor relations in 2000, which was proposed by Denki Rengo Research Group of Japan. He also did a cross-national research project supported by National Science Council of Taiwan, which was: Performance management of knowledge workers- Exploring its development through comparative analysis across countries, during 2000 to 2001.
